I always wondered why this was never done since it is modled on the skin. Thanks dude.

It is modeled on most skins, but in reality only the F4U-1, FG-1, F3A-1, and early production F4U- and F3A-1A's had the landing light. It was rarely used and was deleted on the production lines in the last half of 1943.
