Personally (if I had any modelling skills) I'd build the V-173. It's much better looking than the XF5U-1.

So do I. Unfortunately, V-173 has not retractable gear, what is a disadvantage, isn't it?

One of the later prototypes did ... at least I am pretty sure it did.
