I'm sorry, I was being clever when I said I have to fly the course twice. What I meant was, I fly the course then have to watch the track to see if I fouled any of the obstacles; thus "flying the course twice."
It would save time if I knew I'd hit one of the obstacles and could land then refly the couse after the repair.
As a side note on this: I've found that flying the La-7 requires a course cosiderably larger than if I fly, say, the I-16. On the other hand, I can still fly the course faster and even do outside barrel rolls to line myself up for the next set of obstacles.
