If the "3d Wii" effect requires smooth control of field of view (as opposed to zooming and panning) then you're right. But, the fact that IL2 allows you to "step" field of view might imply that it is possible to create a smoothly scrolling version of field of view. Since I'm not a modder or a coder, I have no idea how difficult such a thing would be, though. But, man, if it worked . . . incredible!
