Lateral-G Wrote:Hi CrazySchmidt,

I've used your previous versions of MM with IL-2:FB and Aces and just found the new version for 1946 (v5.0. I have downloaded and istalled the files but I'm having trouble getting the missions to play or start from the MM menu. The "Launch" button is greyed out.

When I try to launch a demo mission and hit the "create mission" button I get a window that pops up with a "Runtime error '76':path not found".

I've even opened the sim and went to the single missions, countries NN and could not find a Mission Mate folder.

I'd really like to get theis new version to work but it's no joy right now.

any help is appreciated. I've really enjoyed your previous versions of MM.

Hi Lateral-G,

The launch button gets disabled (greyed out) if MM cannot find the "il2fb.exe" file in the IL-2 directory specified at the time of MM's installation.
To check the location that MM is currently using, open the "FBPath.txt" file located in the MM installation folder, the default entries will look like this:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Mod\
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Mod\Missions\Single\NN\Mission Mate\
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Mod\Missions\Net\coop\Mission Mate\
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Mod\PaintSchemes\Skins\

The top line shows the root of the IL-2 game folder. Check that this is correct for your current IL-2 MOD folder location. If it is incorrect simply re-type the correct location into each line and save the file. This should solve your problem.

This has become a common problem for MM users since the introduction of the MOD's as users are starting to run more that one version of IL-2 and often the IL-2 version that was in use when MM was installed, is no longer the desired version. The next release of MM handles is problem by allowing the user to redirect MM to any IL-2 version installed on your PC. This can be done by a new button on the main start up window on MM (inside yellow rectangle) as shown in the screen shot below:

I hope this helps.

Cheers, CS. Smile
