Messer, i'm a bit confused on one point. you say you tried to save the mission afterwards, and it crashed?
if so, you aren't recording an ntrk, but a trk file.
afaik, you can't save a mission as an ntrk afterwards, only as a trk.
to record an ntrk, you need to be recording from the beginning of the mission.
that said, many people, myself included, have similar issues with recording tracks. no-one seems to know exactly what causes it, but one thing is common throughout, and that is that it happens randomly/occasionally.
what i would do in a mission like the one you describe, is to leave out the long flight times, and only record the section which will have the most action/whatever part you're looking to record. 8)
