Arlington Airshow, Take TWO (PICS)
#5

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like the shots!

Here are some numbers for everyone to think about... I took 936 pictures on Friday. This morning I went through and deleted all of the obviously unacceptable pictures (out of focus, blurry, poor composition, etc.) and deleted 450 right off the bat. Then I went through again and chose the ones I wanted people to actually see, and that is where these pictures come in. My gallery includes 90 photos from Saturday. In just a few hours I widdled them down from 936 to only 90 pictures. That's about as good as it gets! haha I'm REALLY excited when I am able to keep 20% of my pictures!! haha

Doodle - Mine don't blow yours away, they're completely different types of shots. Smile You take very good pictures, and all that matters is that YOU'RE satisfied with them. It took me a long time to realize that.

Ruger - It was doing some high speed passes for the show. Unfortunately I wasn't in the right spot to get those on video, but figured it was better to get closer for the landing. I could feel the wake from that guy landing!

Bolter - Nice shots, I would LOVE to go see a show like that! I shoot airshows with a Canon RebelXT body and Sigma 50-500mm for 90% of my shooting and a fun little Sigma 10-20mm for cockpit and exterior shots.

I showed my aerobatic instructor (in the green and white plane) the pictures I took of his performance and he was very pleased. He wants more video and pictures for promotions, and wants me to come along with him again when he practices his airshow routine. Yes! So sometime in the near future I'll get some more G's in my blood again. It's hard as heck to shoot video/pics during an aerobatic routine, but MAN is it fun!!
