I have to respectifully disagree. My experience says otherwise. I did see a decrease in loading time with a hardware change.

I did a bit of searching, and found that the memory controller in the Phenom II is different, and more efficient that the one on my old 4800+ Brisbane processor. Evidently that is allowing the game info to be copied from the HDD into memory at a faster rate.
