Guys
IT IS NOT A BUG
The airfield friction mod interferes with Carrier Takeoff mods.
Read the read me that is inside the zuti mod
Here is the text from the read me.
Conflicts:
If you decide to use this mod you have to disable following mods:
- Hellzones moving DF mod
- Certificates AI mod (v3.0 is included with this mod)
- Fireballs carrier takeoff mod (v5.2 is included with this mod)
The friction mod as well as the Moving DogFight ( MDF )will be include in the 1.2 as it has proven relatively stable, we still testing. As far as the carrier take off mod, it is very clear you must disable the Carrier Takeoff prior to using the MDF. Also, Zuti and Fireball worked together to make sure that the AI/Catapult/Carrier Take Off were all included in the MDF.
Just to clarify why for non-programmers.
This all boils down to cooperation between modders due to the programing language used. You can not have competing mods as some behaviors are located in the same code area.
The airfield mod will be included in 1.2 because it will allow map makers to use a less hungry approach to define a landing field other than using the FPS hungry alpha transparent plates (anyone remember the Norway map?). This is good for everyone plus it will allow mapmakers control of historical fields that were not flat (sloped either end).
The friction mod allows the mapmaker to declare what portion of the field will have the same friction as the transparent plates without using the FPS hungry transparent plates.
