oh, that sucks. might be worth trying one of the other ati settings, or backup your conf.ini and copy the details from mine in there - I think everything in the setup.exe just modifies the config file anyway. reintstalling the drivers might well help also. I'm trying to remember what else I had to do in the control centre to get it running well, disabled adaptive anti-alaising and catylist AI also - though that isn't what solved the blackness bit - but the catalyst ai definately caused some other oddities.
