I think ive never been over 65 as i can remember.
there is a utillety at nvidia you can download and install that merges with nvidia control panel.
There you can set your fan speed.
I did this as my card was getting hot and it showed when i installed the program that the cards fan was only running at 30%. i put it up to 90% and the card went nice and cool. but sounded like a jet was landing!

Well i use headphones so i dont notice when playing.
Ofcourse it may also be something inside the IL2 that makes your computer crash.
Install a new copy and just the UI 1.1 and no other mods and see if it continues!!
