Few noobish questions

Heya, Ok ill try and answer your Q's

1. Mod activator is a mod which only allows modifications such as effects, cockpits to be run within the game with out the use of the new sounds for the aircraft. The reason why they cant be used together is because the Sound Mod uses the mod activator in order for the mods you download and install to work.

2. There are mods out there which add mirrors to some aircraft such as the the P-51, F6F and the Me-109. Use the 'Search' Feature and look for 'Mirror Mods'

3. Try out Jafa's sounds, To me these are the best around. He usually works on a single engine type at one time. Improving, and making it much more realistic. Usually sounds can be down to personal opinion. I grantee, people would recommend different sounds for different engines or weapons cause some times to them it may fit more, or seem more realistic.

4. 'UI' Means Unified Installer. Its a batch of files which contains many great mods, and sounds in one package which you can download and install to Il-2 1946 to get a great start to enjoying a game made better.

5. Static.ini is located in MODS\STD\ (in there some where I cant remember at this time. Im on a different PC/ Laptop) So Have a look in there, and you should find it. If so some one else post a directory for him please Smile

6. '.ini' is a configuration file. Its just a extension name where all the settings are held.

7. S! or ~S~ is Salute. As in the action, where you would salute some one. Just a sign of respect. It took me a while to figure it out as well Wink.

I hope this helps you out! Big Grin
