FM Guru's riddle me this, if a US test pilot (someone that will not really push a captured German aircraft to it's limits) advises a pilot should never exceed 950 km/hr, does this not mean that 950 km/hr is the max safe speed of this aircraft? If the answer is yes, this must mean that the current FM of the Me 262A-1 is incorrect since you loose all control surface response at something like 740 - 750 km/hr?

test pilots get paid to take an airplane to its' extreme limits, hence the name test pilot. it may be far more involved now with modern planes but eventually someone needs to go out wring the sh*t out of it to see what it can really do.
