I have the same problem, not care is it DirectX or OpenGL. At both setings it is imposible to set advanced graphical efects. Only diference is that at OpenGL there are just terrible graphics at all. I have
GeForce 8800 GT and I think that problem is bc this card and grant's card are too new - the newest graphical cards that this game recognize are GF 6xxx series. Game do not recognize my and grant's cards.
I also can't set perfect settings in game.
