And it works alright for me. Here's my conf.ini (for today anyway), which quite frankly, could probably be improved but gives me very good fps with v-sync on. Getting a GTX275 next week... not looking forward to d**ing around with the conf.ini again though...

EDIT: In response to request for ncontrol settings (and YES! it would be great to have a dedicated conf.ini thread for nvidia and ati each to avoid random posts in odd threads - of which I can be guilty oftentimes along with every other jack the lad )

I use Riva Tuner. On that, the intellisamples (optimisations - tri filt, anis mip, anis sample, tri filt) are all ticked and stuck on HQ but the override option for texture compression is on application decide. My AF is set to application decide too and my AA is x16. I have v-sync and triple buffer on with 3 pre render limit selected. I also have a dual core AMD 64 3.2 and am now running Win 7 x64 and have to turn the blasted driver signing off every bootup in order to get RivaTuner working.

A lot of people recommend texture compression = 0 but this knackers my frame rates and I swear to god, I can't tell a difference apart from the frame rates. If anyone can spot anything obviously wrong in my conf.ini obviously I'd welcome your advice - the more performance I can squeeze from this the better...
