Mixture Controls in US Planes - Mod Request
#2

Hi Sutts!

Nope, you are certainly not in the minority when it comes to flying by the original flight manuals. The IL-2 in the game is also very accurate when it comes to the original flight manuals, as is the F4F Wildcat. (I am sure all of the others are as well)

As far as mixture goes, you can set your mixture controls using your keyboard, or a quadrant if you have one.

I have my mixture defaulted to be keyboard Ctrl + the plus sign to increase my mixture and Ctrl + minus sign to decrease it, all the way to idle cutoff.

So basically I can lean my mixture to just lean of peak using my keyboard (although now I use my Saitek throttle quadrant...whatever works best for you)

And that is on the F4F, and to my knowledge it works for all the aircraft in IL-2, Axis or Allied.

Just go into your keyboard control keys setup and look for mixture rich and mixture lean and set it up.

There you go! Hope that helps you out!
