Correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't the Albacore such an unmitigated disaster that it was withdrawn from service and replaced with the plane that it was meant to replace (Swordfish) long before the end of the war?

They didn't exactly have a long and illustrious history.

sounds a bit like the TBD! i think the barracuda was the torpedo bomber that was supposed to replace the swordfish - wasn't the albacore a dive bomber design as well? still be nice to have in-game, but if we're talking FAA surely the capable firefly ought to be priority - along with the fulmar which saw a lot of action around the med and greece/crete.
