I knew that this map is not gonna be as popular as CanonUk channnel, but... :roll:

While Canon's map is beautiful, maps like this interest me far more.

Great work on the map. Thanks for it. It gives us yet another area to play in on the most interesting front of WW2.

I was kinda joking, because there are not too many commetns about map. Like "whoaa, this is the most wanted map"... 8)

This map fills a big cap. At least for Germans and Russian players. Archangelsk map is good for long distance missions at bad weather. It must been a hell for those urban germans. Just forests, hills, marshes and lakes /hundreds of km....around.
I just read a book about Luftwaffe reconnaise unit. They did have DO 17 and Ju 88. At 1941 even Henschel Hs 126. Main target wat the railroad from Murmansk to Leningrad, they bombed Archangelsk too. But they didn't have no fighter cover.
There were some RAF units too. AT 1 occasion they send 20 Bostons to attack some german warship. They were all shot down
I believe that there were Hurricanes too
