If you post on the thread itself, the relevant people will post.

It generates more attention to make a new post, but asking on the proper thread is more likely to attract the author's or other relevant person's attention as it moves the thread up to the top of the list.

Unless anything else is stated on the thread itself, it rarely helps to post and ask, because the work is usually progressing "slowly" because it takes a significant amount of time to make new aircraft. Patience is the key word.

The author might not always want to post screenshots of what they have at the moment just to answer a request, they might have a vision of how much progress they want to have before they will post a screenshot.
