This is a wonderful mod, for a truly great plane! I've always loved the F-version of the 190, despite it being sluggish for fighter and not as resilient as the Il-2. Thanks danzigzag!

I recently re-read an article about the Fs published in an aviation magazine - the German pilots dropped bombs from extremely low altitudes (~15m) with 1 second delays and they released the bomb just when the tank/vehicle/gun dissapeared under the wings. I've tried this is in Il-2 and can't get it to work perfectly (I either get damaged by the blast or I don't hit anything), but I had even less luck with how they performed strafing. Again from very low altitude, targeting the ground targets with the optical gunsight. But for that to work the guns need to be titled just slightly downwards (convergence setting), don't they? Can this be set in Il-2?

By the way, I used the "FW190_Update" mod that smoothens the 190s and adds a new, relistic cowling with Dzz's new F8/G8 - works flawlessly. They also work with the new 190s cockpit by FlushMeister. In both cases copy the folder A8 (from the visual update and cockpit repaint mods), paste and rename to 190_F8. Credit for these tips go to other forum members (thanks!) but I just wanted to share this to anybody who uses the new F8/G8 as it refreshes the visuals.


Well, now I only need to wait for Phil_Ks updates "Der Kessel" campaign with many loadouts!
