# 1 ) Given: Though the quality of the sim work is generally good and impressive-in some ways, 1C: Maddox Games has a history of what WE perceive as being slow at new releases.
[RE: to flyingbullseye] Could that be: Our hunger for more is actually feeding this? Murilo Specht nailed it on the head and we agree. Clearly, many more downloads are bought because the whole mod community globally is creating interest and funnelling people to download V4.08, resulting in more profit and development money for 1C. But I'm wondering how does this specifically infuence new releases? Does it not depend on the will of the Oleg son of god (metaphorically) just how this effects SowBob?
# 2) Given: Only indications are that 1C: Maddox Games is still a viable company-no sign of bankruptsy or other form of collapse. Not even a rumour exists on this issue. Is this the calm before the SowBoB storm? Could this further indicate a big surprise in store for us? Is resource going into the pockets of Maddox or mosty for SowBoB?
# 3) Given: History is full of examples of huge surprises. Could it be that the lessons of the modding community has a big influence on specific features of SoWBoB development? I regress to the synergy at work between Maddox's company and the IL-2 modding world. Can it be that matters are much more integrated than we can even imagine?
Perhaps a bunch of 1C: Maddox Games people have been participating in the mod community for years. (Note to Maddox people: We would be glad. )
Does the conspiracy hypothesis have any validity?
Maybe we are the puppets, IL-2 is the strings, 1C: Maddox Games is the string yoke, and Oleg Maddox is the puppet master?
If so, we're a group of smiley puppets :!:
On a final thought, this week I saw a 30 second commercial on Prime Time, The History Channel, which did a nice job of advertising IL-2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey. I hollered, "Yeah Maddox!" The innovator is still out there working. This seems to confirm to me that the Ye Old Oleg is still waging virtual war for the hearts and minds of enthusiastic fans across our globe... Our fearless leader.
