Does anybody know if a SB2C Helldiver is in the works to be released, and if so when might we expect to be able to fly the Beast. I for one am looking forward to being able to take off the carrier and dive bomb some Japanese ships in my Helldiver. What a great plane it would be to have in this game, since it did replace the Dauntless, which is the game, I think we should have a Helldiver also. Anybody agree????

The Helldiver is one of the many sadly missed aircraft in this game.. but as always, this aircraft would have to be fashioned from existing aircraft meshes in IL2!
Anyone have any idea what parts from existing planes could be used?

Why? Can't new meshes be created?

Also, if folks really want this, why not dive in and learn how, and put in the 200 or so hours to make it?

If you look at the date of troopers original post, you will see that it was made when frankenplane techniques were the most advanced way to get new planes in to the sim.
Csocso's Helldiver is being made using a new 3-D model.
