WOO HOO!!! Got it working, not quite 3 hours since my last post. Ahhh, patience is a virtue . well I got it working in QMB for now is what I mean to say. Finally found the "double B' in the static.ini, cleared that up. Tried launching the map in QMB, still got "wrong target", so I trolled through the original post and found somewhere around page 11 ish, Canons conf.ini listed. I compared to mine and found I was missing these four lines in the [Quick]
Custom5=Channel4041
Custom6=Channel4041W
Custom7=Channel4245
Custom8=Channel4245W
I cut and pasted them into my conf.ini and tried once more. First time I took a tigermoth and it was absolutely sweet, drop dead gorgeous. The tiger being a little slow, I decided a Spit would be more the go, so I chose the Mk 1 Spit, then I got the paratroop error and system locked up. Restarted and launched the game and now I got a message about "Data Execution Prevention" and saying windows will now close the program :? Now I am confused, but in task bar is IL2, so I click on that and game is running. So, I grab another Spit, MkV this time and launch with complete success again. I flew from Manston, to London and looked around, did the "Red Bull" under tower bridge, landed somewhere, took off and then finally ballsed up a landing a Biggin Hill. Only thing I found strange was the sound at Biggin Hill, I seemed to have an echoing sound, sort of like if you select Cave or Auditorium in your sound environment. Not a big issue and one I am sure I will get sorted, I generally don't fly outside of cockpit that much. Just hard not too, when you have countryside to view and so much to see.
Cheers for now, I need to see Stonhenge :lol:
