I have a copy of IL-2 for Online and another for Offline to mod to my hearts desire.

If a simmer or modder makes a copy of IL-2 and a copy of any files to be kept in safe keeping while you experiment with the mods, then there should never be a need to reinstall anything. This will save a bunch of guys many combined hours if they follow this wise method of mod safety.
