In UI1.1 there were two engine sounds which i really hated

- the Jumo samples, used for example on the Ta152 and (not engine of course - sound only) on the Me410;

- Sabre used on Tempest.

They were way too loud, Sabre too pitched to work with it for longer than a few minutes. The Jumo was also very unpleasant to hear, very low 'hummm' which caused sound distortions (like EAX bug, but the EAX was off...).

So I opened the Sabre samples in Nero Wav Editor and lowered the volume level by some 10-15 dB (it's really a lot), which helped somewhat. This way didn't help much in Jumo, so I replaced it by Daimler-Benz samples. And I was very pleased with it.

NOW, IN UI1.2 the list of VERY UNPLEASANT sounds is much wider Cry

Few examples: B-29 (R-3350), Ponies, Jug (R-2800), Spitfire XIV (Griffon), Go-229.

ALSO the sound of MK108 is way more silent than a MG151/20, I didn't check other weapons sounds, beacuse I had to revert to UI1.1 - saving my ears :evil:

The best solution to all those sound circumstances would be offering the user an option to choose between stock 4.08 and modded sounds, like a switcher 4.08 -> MOD 4.09 we have now.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us an opprtunity to decide what sounds we want to use...
