I have edited the presets files in notepad. There is a [spl] value, for example

which seems to be sound pressure level value in dB for EXTERNAL VIEW. Lowering this number makes engine or weapon mixed in game sounds quieter, without the need to edit the samples (which is way more time consuming).

BUT, UNFORTUNATELLY I don't know how to do the same thing for lowering sounds in INTERNAL (inside COCKPIT) view, which is far more important. There is a file aircraft.cockpit.prs with [spl] constant, but lowering it does not seem to have any effect

Does anyone know how to edit presets for internal view sounds?
