As complicated as games are today, all it takes is one small hickup and things get messed up. I know because have loaded IL-2 in the past for new mods and various small problems can occure (opposite rudder control on some stock planes, esc key not working, etc). You might try reinstalling and see if your problem goes away, because mine always did when I reinstalled.
