It looks to be recorded sometime in the mid 90s.
There are other videos i've seen from the 70s that show case the M2, but the audio isn't as good.

I realize this is a slightly different version than what was fitted to planes. The game takes into consideration the rate of fire and duplicates the audio track based on the number of guns used by the aircraft.
Because of this its difficult to preserve the popping sound the gun makes, rather than a clinking sound.
