[BETA] MiG-15 and F-86A-5 (V2, included in HSFX4.1)

Well, PeterD says the MiG's auto-airbrake will be disabled. If this is true, I'm wondering how he will handle the MiG AI following the Sabre in a severe dive.

In reality, the MiG could not do this without breaking up. This is why the auto-airbrake was installed. If the MiG AI can follow me (in a Sabre) when I take it down in a severe dive without breaking up, I will be very upset. This would be totally unrealistic. Personally, I would not put the MiG-15 in any more of my missions.

On PeterD's site, he says this about the MiG auto-airbrake:

"...but more importantly, it wasn't very accurate apparently since it wasn't present in the 1950 model."

Well, in all my research, I have never seen this mentioned. I was always under the impression that the auto-airbrakes were implemented from the very start. That does not mean I cannot be wrong. However, I sure would like to see where he got this information. Besides, the MiG(bis) is a later-model. So PeterD, just when was the auto-airbrake supposedley implemented?

PeterD, I'm sorry to have to say this, but I told you from the start that I thought your implementation of the MiG auto-airbrake was incorrect. I also warned you that you would be getting many complaints from the MiG pilots. Well, it looks like this has come to pass ("...which was upsetting many people ...").

It will be interesting how you will eliminate something that was historically correct (the auto-airbrake) and yet still have an accurate FM.

Now, I apologize if I come off as sounding confrontational. Nothing could be further from the truth. My style is simply to speak my mind and express my thoughts. My main goal is to help you release the best plane possible for the community to enjoy.
