Uberdood, as far as I know, you shouldn't have a 3do folder in your STD folder.
Unless this is a new development with UI 1.2, which I don't have, the STD folder is only supposed to have a 'com' and 'i18n' folder inside, in which you find the air.ini, plane_ru.properties and weapons_ru.properties files. These are for making the entries to show the new planes.
New planes themselves are normally placed in their own folder inside Mods folder, in which you find their associated 3do folders.
Example: F84G. The F84G folder goes in Mods, and file structure would be: IL2/MODS/F84G/3do....
STD is normally only for the relevant ini/properties entries to be made for the plane to show up ingame.
