Tips for F9F carrier landings
#5

Ive found for aircraft with high speeds like the F9F and Fury its easy to do a short approach rather than a long one, what i generally do is fly over the carrier then do a circuit at around to the left of the carrier with canopy open, hook down take off flaps and around 100-150 mph, (i know this is a little vauge but i guess its hard to explain) I head around 4,5 carriers lengths back from the deck, chop throttle drop gear and landing flaps and basically turn onto the apoach and the let the aircraft almost stall down onto the deck. This from what i could dicover is how the FAA did it in the book "They gave me a seafire" and it works well for me.
