bubble canopy spitfires are as sexy as it gets, especially the Gryphon-powered models. I mean, come on, classic design with the long "hood", a concept that is still gorgeous in sports cars 60 years later.
as the oddball, I love the Beaufighter. Those giant Hercules engines that make that plane like an excuse to get those engines into the air, strange but somehow cool (in the same way that a bulldog, dog, not aircraft, is cool)
