i did all what you say and i still can't open il-2. So the only thing i didn't try yet was go on and see what happens if i install UI 1.1 and 1.2 over V4.09b1m.
But now windows 7 gives me the next puzzle... If i'm not mistaken (it's been a while since i did this the last time) you you install part 2 till part 8 into part 1. Now icomes the catch... in XP Pro i put the part 1 exe on my desktop and installed the other parts that were also on the desktop into part 1 (easy) but with windows 7 your downloads go automaticly into a download map. If i now do the same thing (i drag them first from the download map onto the desktop) and i want to unrar part 2 i cannot find the part 1 exe?? So how do you guys do this?? btw UI 1.2 i asume is installed in the same way?
