Actually the point is the fun to crash or just fly around in such a monster. So what that IL 2's engine can't keep up to the real life characteristics?
I see it like this -
Modify the B29 fuselage, then the wings.
As for the engines, IL2 has got 8 engines max. B52 has 8 engines so it shouldn't be a problem.
As for the flight model, hell it would be awesome to fly it even if it's top speed would be the same as Me262's.
And guys, you said that "If you want Vietnam era planes go play etc etc etc"
Have anybody told you that if you want WW1 era planes, to go to play that , that or that?
It was just an idea, not a request. It is the most wanted plane by me. I would crap bricks if I could fly it in IL2.
And there is no game that has got such an awesome engine. FSX sucks it it comes to damage model.
I hope that this plane will be made by someone, trust me, some day you will run out of WWII and WW1 plane's.
