That was a good explanation to me. I tried HSFX 4.1 and yes it is good, loads fast- and that is very cool. I ran into a little trouble updating some of my other fav mods tho. I went back and looked around the 242 site and figured out what you had explained. Consequently, that caused me to try UP 1.8. I got that working okay, and it currently seems about as easy to update as UI 1.2 was. But as I noticed, while a virgin install of UP (or HSFX for that matter) will load fast as intended; but start dropping in your olde MapMods folder, maybe some planes and such, and watch your load times increase
But hey- it's a tradeoff. Customized means longer load times, while the more stuff they pack into those SFS files in the next releases of either will widdle that time back down I imagine.
