ATI Catalyst 9.12 (also Hotfix) crashed VM of JRE...[SOLVED]
#1

Hi Guys,

big problem on my system with latest Catalyst 9.12 from ATI,

Virtuell maschine from Java RE seems to crash, what gives an big error by running IL-2 under openGL Setting.

What happens:

Game and Menu loads normal, start loading a map/mission

-> 0% Loading
-> Graphic turns into weird squares, also Text is unread able, Mouse pointer disappears
-> Game still continous Process on loading up to 100%
-> Map loaded, but you can't choose a base due to Mouse pointer disapeared, and all things are squares. OMG

I checked Game Folder and found the last actual error report:

An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at PC=0x696b35b7
Function name=(N/A)
Library=C:\Windows\system32\atioglxx.dll

NOTE: We are unable to locate the function name symbol for the error
just occurred. Please refer to release documentation for possible
reason and solutions.

Now my Solution, temporary:

uninstalled all ATI System Components, installed Catalyst 9.10 again

-> everything works fine, no Error, Java RE is responding correctly, Game starts normal, no more artefacts and issues.

Question:

Did someone also expirienced this issue with 9.12 and found a fix (aside the Hotfix RC1 from ATI) to solve this issue?
Java is on latest version.
