Though white (or light gray) swastikas might have become more common in the end of WWII, this doesn't come true for all aircrafts and seasons.
Light decals make sense for ground attack planes in conjunction with a low-vis paint scheme (especially for winter paintings).
On the other hand, darker paintings wouldn't gain any profit from light decals such as the swastika and it's unlikely that they should have been changed in numbers since.
Let's take the Bf-109 K-4 as a sample and search for pictures of this late warbird, which has seen significant production in the time frame in question (1944/45) only.
