BTW that's not aimed at the modders who give up much time to bring us these new ac, but is more a criticism of Il-2:1946, which could have given us the one allied jet that saw service during WW2 - and would doubtless have seen much more action in the hypothetical 1946 scenario - rather than more allied rockets & jets that didn't see action.

Gotta agree with you there, I was really disappointed when I saw the aircraft list for '46. Might have been cool if there was either the Meteor or the Vampire. Even better if there had been aircraft that were going to be used in decent numbers during the invasion of Japan like the Lancaster, Lincoln, Spitfire XIV, Tempest II, Hornet, P-47N and P-51H. I bet there's loads more that would have been appropriate...Deac could probably list another 10 I've missed. Always thought that 46 was a bit of a missed opportunity, but then, I guess IL-2 wasn't really the focus of any huge amount of development by then.
