Wonderful, quality sounds and the improvements to sound realism are most appreciated, particularly realistic occlusion of external sounds. The only area of inconsistency I noticed was the relationship between in-cockpit engine sound and exterior airflow sound, in that 1.) The engine sounds are sometimes partially overwhelmed by the airflow sound (not stall/stress, just the constant overflow sound over X speed), even at full RPM, which reduces the dynamic range of engine sounds, and 2.) the airflow sound is far louder in the enclosed cockpit of multi-seat aircraft than in open gunner positions (yes, I have windblow fix mod, that's not the issue). There does not seem to be a separate airflow sound for gunner positions, you just hear the cockpit airflow sound playing diminished depending on the gunner position's distance from the pilot position.
Few other minor issues noted:
-.50 cal sound only sounds decent for planes with 6 wing guns. More or less guns sound odd and guns in the nose are overwhelmingly loud.
-Ju-88 pull-out siren is make your ears bleed loud.
-rocket firing sound strikes me as unrealistic in level and duration, and there is and odd distant sound at the end (maybe meant to represent R4M or RS-82s detonating by time fuze, but doesn't fit with many situations)
I wish I could keep using it, but the proprietary buttons files makes it a no go for long-term use. Sure hope to see this integrated into future releases of HSFX/UP/SAS.
