Is there a template for this? I've been looking at M4T and can't find it over there anywhere.

Max_thehitman seems to have a nice void-skin at least.

I just started to make my own as I thought that the default skin and also the skins from highlander are slightly to dark.
Now i noticed that a complete white background shows up grey in the QMB window. :-?

Has anybody else also seen this effect or am i the only one?

Yes, I have Highlanders_262 very excellent template, although he sent it to me while I was already working on my
own template. So I mixed both together for a more detailed view of certain objects, such as the original cockpit details
inside. I have been looking at pictures of the original airplane stored in a USA air-museum and many photos of the
original aircraft. So I am trying my best to put in the details. Right about now I have a much better looking cockpit
dash, original tire design, and other odd detail bits.
You will have to zoom into the airplane to check them out better.

No matter how much one can try, this (or any other) aircraft will have that perfect real-life chrome metal effect, as the
game will no allow that detail to work properly. But a nice shiney metal-effect can be achieved on some skins and it
makes for some nice flying in the IL-2. This aircraft is no exception. Mr. Kodama has worked his magic on creating a
really magnificent airplane Mod.

As for the greyish part look of the skin,it can be fixed by over-lapping a layer of bright blue-Neon color and tweaking all the greys
in the layers to have a more blueish tone. Some parts I have tweaked to have a green / yellow effect. This works for me.
Its a dificult process to get the correct shading, so its really a matter of guess work and trying out
each change in the layer-colors by flying the aircraft in the game many times, at diferent sun settings and seeing the
effects it shows.
I am quite pleased with myself as to what I have come up with so far.
