I tried it once and got a map made. But not only were the mountains after a certain height all flat, moreover many parts of the high mountainous areas were the oddest type of terrain and color imaginable. It was - and this is a very approximate description - as if you were looking through the terrain at a deep blue expanse of water ... very weird and not at all usable in any way at all.

So in short, trying to make a map of that height would be a waste of time for Il-2 ...
