Hi,
If you get the digital download version of IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 V4.08m, then you will get it in the speed it takes to complete the download.
I got mine through Direct2Drive ( direct2drive.com ).
You'll need the patch for digital downloads of 1946:

Add this patch before you do anything else with the download version.
For online flying I recommend HSFX 4.1 mod pack and for offline I recommend Unified Installer Download 1.2 ( UI 1.2 ).
