Thanks for the input. No, I don't just sit on their 6 unless that's my only option (and against a plane that can outrun me, it happens a bit). Diving from 3 or 9 o'clock and aiming for the glass house implies I'm above them; in the last 2 missions and the QMB I just flew to test the advice received the 110 started at the same altitude or higher. Trying to come up below and behind doesn't work against AI as for some reason the gunner starts shooting at 800m+ and the pilot reacts to me at 500m... he just climbs away. I let him come close behind (the only way I can get him to come within 500m of me is to let him be on my 6 and above me) and to snap roll at the last second and try to guess which way he'll turn. If that 'works' I see him climbing away no closer than 350m away and at full deflection. As to turning circle, the problem may well be that the AI 110 uses flaps to increase the turn (I can see them down) and still has a speed advantage, whereas I'm flat out so not turning at my best. As to my 'not very accurate' comment it mainly related to turns, but if the 110 was so good, why are there so many reports from the BoB of 110's forming defensive circles at the mere sight of spits and hurricanes?
