I know this may come as a shock to some..
Some who thought they were flying the most realistic F-86A they could get their hands on by DL the HISTOMOD 1.3
But the truth should never be withheld due to the fear of a FEW getting thier feelings hurt
With that said..
Here is the stock HSFX 4.1 F-86A ROC compared to a real F-86A ROC
And here is the HISTOMOD 1.3 F-86A ROC compared to a real F-86A ROC
At a glance even a child can see that the HSFX 4.1 version is more accurate than the HISTOMOD 1.3 version
How much more accurate you ask?
Well we can measure that in two ways
1) Look at the difference/error in the rate of climb between the in-game version and the real life version
2) Look at the percent error in the rate of climb between the in-game version and the real life version
With that said lets start with the difference/error in the ROC
Here is the stock HSFX 4.1 F-86A ROC difference/error between the in game F-86A plane and a real F-86A
Here is the stock HISTOMOD 1.3 F-86A ROC difference/error between the in game F-86A plane and a real F-86A
As you can see, the HSFX 4.1 has an error/difference of ~75fpm at SL and the HISTOMOD 1.3 has a error/difference of 2,600fpm
Now lets take a look at the percent error in the ROC
Here is the stock HSFX 4.1 F-86A ROC percent error between the in game F-86A plane and a real F-86A
Here is the stock HISTOMOD 1.3 F-86A ROC percent error between the in game F-86A plane and a real F-86A
As you can see, the HSFX 4.1 version has a % error of ~1% at SL and the HISTOMOD 1.3 has a % error of ~34% at SL
I know this info comes as a surprise to some of the HISTOMOD users (read lemmings) that have been under the impression that they were flying the most realistic F-86A FM out there.
Which is a good reason and explanes why so many are so upset..
But..
A good reason should not be confused with a good excuse!
In that there is no excuse for breaking forum rules and resorting to calling me names
Just because I pointed out to one and all that the king has no closes!
