FG-1D Corsair
By your picture this is a Corsair MkIV on which you affixed US markings. The F4U-1D designation for the Royal Navy was Corsair MKIII/F3A-1D built by Brewster and the Corsair MkIV/FG-1D built by Goodyear. They differed from the USN/USMC versions by having their wings shortened by 2 feet to fit inside Royal Navy Carrier Hangar Decks whose overheads (ceilings) were lower than those on US Carriers.
The USN/USMC never flew the Royal Navy version of the F4U-1D with the clipped wings. RNZAF flew US versions of the Corsairs not British versions.
