Sure, not everyone likes the graphical style they went for, but it makes Il2 1946 really look its age, and you only need 1GB RAM and a 256mb graphics card to run that (2GB/512mb for recommended specs, and 3GB/1GB for Max), and it can cope with a lot more detail, much higher res textures, and a host of new graphical effects while still maintaining a steady framerate.

Honestly, I doubt Oleg is going to be aiming for people with low spec computers, he is looking at the flight sim market and most people here will have at least a mid range PC, so even if he put 2GB RAM/512mb graphics card as the minimum specs he should still be able to get good graphics out of that, without having to compromise on realism.
Yeh. Though I've gotten use to ignoring game specification recommendations because they have never really been right. Most the time there either way low or sometimes even to high, though this was only the case when I was buying a lot more pc games at least a year ago I don't know if they have improved these days.

But yeh basically in most cases minimal specs would never run the game that is suggesting them. Unless you have a perfectly set up PC which is optimized very good.

Which I do nowadays because I've come a long way in computer operations.

What they fail to realized (IMO) is that lots of the users won't be any good at maintaining an optimized PC like they are (they make games for a living of course there good at it).
E.G. Nearly every computer I had to repair where I work was because the users say "It's running slow" or something like that, And in nearly every case it was because they had built up so much malware and trial/shareware software that it was slowing down the PC.

There are so many factors it would take forever to list them. One thing I can guarantee is that if an average user had the same gear I have they would have nowhere near the same performance my PC does.
And I don't mean just because of overclocking.
