I know some people have made some nice long range missions on CananUK's map, and on the berlin, but if you want a twist, you can make a pacific theatre bombing from Guadocanal or coral islands (Midway?) and use the E model, just make sure you set up some nice carriers of ground attack . Good luck on map making and altitude bombing.
