One question, why do they always hang aircraft so you can't see them, why not hang them upside down??
there are multiple levels surrounding the room, so you can get above them. the top level allows you to go inside the 727. pretty cool. and every so often the boeing will come in for a 'landing' and the gear will extend, flaps and slats come down, and landing lights come on.

Thank you for the tip , I had no idea they have in there such a nice treat display
are you kidding me HG!? you've never been there?
the other stuff at the museum is really neat as well, not just the aircraft. Takes a whole day to walk thru for sure and we didn't even see everything. The U-505 exhibit is awesome. to go inside the boat with a tour is only 8 bucks extra and they take your picture in front of it before you board.
Oh yeah and I wanted to mention, the Stuka was a HUGE airplane! I've seen this one a few times and I never get over how big the airplane was. The uboat is also a monster (Type IXc)...over 200 feet long. Certainly isn't big inside tho. I wanted to take some pictures of the interior but they won't let you.
Another thing....look at the conning tower on the U-boat...the .50-cal bullet holes are still there from when Wildcats started strafing it during the capture. A very interesting story:
