Thanks for the ideas chaps! OK, I had enabled HSFX, but still it asked for the disk :-? This install must be corrupt to the point that not all the files were installed. I will do a re-install of all the files and then copy/paste them over.

I am stupid, because I should have made a copy of the clean install like you said Aces It certainly would have saved a fair amount of hassle 8)

Well I learned the hard way

Must have installed IL2 a dozen times before I did it!
