"By August 1936 Tuck had qualified as a pilot and was posted to Number 65 (East India) Squadron at Hornchurch as a Pilot Officer. In 1938 Tuck was promoted to Flying Officer and soon after the war broke out was made a Flight Commander.
He joined 92 Squadron and went into action in May 1940. He recorded his first victory (a Me 109) over St. Omer, France. The same day he forced a Me 110 to crash land but to his surprise the pilot jumped out and opened fire on Tuck's Spitfire with a pistol and actually put a bullet through the windscreen: he was not allowed to repeat the action..."

I would like to do some Spitfires with the lettering and roundels on the wing root, but the stretching is so great they are impossible to get to a point I would be happy to release them
